From a car workshop
to a machine builder

Accuracy and perfection run in our blood.

Since 1984 we prepared and serviced rally bikes and cars, and ran them ourselves. A rally is the hardest test of whether a machine is right — it survives the punishment or it doesn't, and it shows you exactly where. That is where our standard was set.

The work began in cars. In 1991 we opened Dazzle Car Care, an automotive repair shop in Bahadurgarh. In 1998 it became A.B. Automech, a Maruti authorised service station, and ran as one until 2012.

In 2013 A.B. Plastech began, and has been in continuous production since. The first product was a set of moulded labyrinth seals for conveyor idler rollers — a small part, held to a close tolerance. Those seals led somewhere we did not expect. Polyamide is hygroscopic: it takes up moisture, so it has to be dried correctly before it is used. Learning to dry one engineering material led to others — and to PET, which cannot simply be dried, because it has to be crystallised first. At the time we knew of no machine built in BHARAT that crystallised PET by infrared. So we designed one.

We did not begin at a drawing board. We went and looked — PlastIndia at Delhi and Gandhinagar, Chinaplas at Shanghai and Guangzhou, Plastivision at Mumbai, PlastAsia at Delhi — to see what already existed. It existed, and it worked, and it was out of reach: landed cost and customs duty put efficient drying technology beyond most Indian processors. That is why this machine was built here rather than bought. Work began in August 2016, and the trials took two and a half years.

Cryst-O-Dry® — our infrared rotary crystalliser and dryer — was launched at IndiaPlast in 2019, at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida.

The range has grown since: Mix-O-Well® mixers, Load-Well™ loaders, Roast-O-Dry™ for the food side, and SpectraCure IR-UV™ — recently ordered by a leading Indian food processor, designed, made to our drawings, and commissioned.

No machine runs forever without attention, and we don't pretend otherwise. What we can control is how much attention it needs, and how easily that attention can be given.

Every machine is designed for manufacture and for assembly from the first drawing — DFM and DFA are not an afterthought. A machine that goes together simply also comes apart simply, which matters on the day something needs attention. Where a part does eventually wear or fail, we specify standard components available locally, not parts that only we can supply — so a buyer is never left waiting on us to keep a machine running.

Safety is a design-stage decision, not an afterthought. Controls, access and guarding are considered from the first drawing, so the machine is straightforward to run and safe to be around. Improvement is a continuous process, and we are always glad to incorporate a buyer's feedback into the next build.

Every agreement we enter is written in plain language, our terms and conditions stated up front rather than buried.

Every machine we sell starts as our own drawing. It is designed at our works in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, BHARAT; its parts and components are made to our drawings by selected vendors; assembly and trials are done in-house. We own the blueprint of every machine we sell — which is why we can service it, defend it, and stand behind it.

We don't ask you to take that on faith. A Cryst-O-Dry® supplied to Nepal in 2020 is still in production. Over the years only consumable parts and a few electrical items have been replaced. Mechanically, the machine is sound.

Even our proportions are held to a standard: the golden ratio has shaped our machine design since the late 1990s — the same discipline is built into our own wordmark.
