™ PVLPowder vacuum loader
that cleans its own filter
SS-304, 14 litre receiver in a 300 mm body, 500 mm pleated cartridge cleaned by reverse pulse from an accumulator on the machine. 51 mm at both ports.

Powder does not behave like granule
A granule is heavy enough to fall out of the air stream on its own. Powder is not. It follows the air all the way to the filter and packs into the pleats, and once it has, suction falls away. The loader takes a little longer to fill, then a little longer again, and by the end of the shift it cannot keep up with the machine it is feeding.
Everything about this loader is built around that one problem.
The filter cleans itself, between loads
A compressed-air accumulator and solenoid valve are mounted on the machine. Between loading cycles the valve fires a pulse of air backwards through the cartridge, and the cake of powder that has built up on the outside is knocked off. It falls into the cone and goes to the process with the rest of the material.
Nothing is opened to do it. No vessel is unclamped, no dust is released into the room, and nothing is thrown away — the powder that comes off the filter is product, and it ends up where it was going anyway.
The cycle is timed by the control rather than triggered by somebody noticing a problem. That is the real benefit: the conveying rate at the end of a shift is the rate it started with, instead of a rate that quietly decays until the machine starves and someone strips the filter down.
A paddle, not a beam
Level is sensed by a rotary paddle level switch. Powder coats a lens within hours and an optical sensor then reads full when the vessel is empty. It does not stop a paddle turning.
Choosing the sensor to suit the material is the difference between a level signal the operator trusts and one he learns to work around.
Opens without tools
The lid is clamped, not bolted. It releases by hand and the 500 mm cartridge lifts straight out for washing or exchange — which matters on a machine that runs powder, because the cartridge is the one part that will be handled routinely for the life of the loader.
Body and wetted parts are SS-304, so what comes out can be washed and put back rather than replaced.
Sized to sit on the machine
The body is 300 mm in diameter, the cone falls 175 mm to a 95.6 mm discharge, and both the material and suction connections are 51 mm. It mounts over the machine hopper and discharges by gravity.
What it is not for
Not recommended for flammable or explosive materials, nor for liquids or semi-liquids.
