These were applied for pre-emptively, to stop anyone else registering the appearance of the machine while it was still new. Publication has since made that impossible for anybody: a design that has been disclosed is no longer new, so it can no longer be validly registered by us or by anyone else. The registrations had done the job they were filed for, so we let the initial ten-year term run out in 2026 rather than extend it by five. They stay listed here because a portfolio that shows only what we kept is not a portfolio. And a design registration protects the appearance of an article, not the way it works — the drum and the method are the subject of the patent above.
Why we publish this
Every right we hold is listed here with its number and its current standing, including those we have chosen not to renew. A supplier who mentions intellectual property without giving you the numbers is asking you to take it on trust.
All of these are searchable on the Indian Patent Office and Trade Marks Registry public databases. Nothing on this page requires you to believe us.
